Spring is a time of energy, of renewal and of an outburst of nature into growth. This seems fitting, as it was only a few weeks before Easter that we opened our store and prepared for the demand of the oncoming holiday.
It was a busy time for us. Springtime is practically synonymous with flowers, making this the perfect creative opportunity. We could show off our new arrangements and freshly sourced flowers in store and online.
It wasn't all that straightforward, however. We had to get the ball rolling. Over the course of only two days, we converted the ground floor entrance store of Dun Laoghaire shopping centre into the display of natural beauty that it is today. Renovations took place. We cleaned the building, repainted the walls, carried in and painted the shelfing and wired the lighting, not to mention setting up all the electronics.
In the end it payed off: As you enter the sunlight room, you're greeted by a colourful display of arrangements and a wide selection of fresh flowers on the opposing wall. On the right there's a collection of smaller potted plants and themed decorations, with amiable product displays on the windows.
With summer on the horizon, we look forward to compose new bouquets, arrangements and decorations to bring on smiles at any occasion. Here are some of the highlights from the last week at Flower Lane:
